The fact that they added this as an option as well as an exclusive companion is nuts to me. The Goat Cult: You can join these guys as well, but only if you manage to get possessed by an evil spirit. All other companions will leave you though, and the game will turn out VERY differently from then on (mainly because you miss out on pretty much every quest everywhere, due to the Death Cult being a bunch of violent psychos).

The Death Cult: if you figure out how to actually join them (instead of wiping them out), the cute Goth chick with daddy issues joins you as a companion. That's 8 different cults! I killed the 3 leaders, but there was also some young goth girl in Peregon who was in the cult. I wanted to check out their cool goat statue, and they attacked me, so I had no choice but to defend myself. I thought there would be more of these guys, but once you have that fight with them, they're never seen again. Is there more to them, or are they just generic bad guys? I kept running into these guys in the wasteland. Not much of a threat, honestly, but the questline was pretty amusing.
